First Event Ever Hosted

037About the Image: The featured image is an image from the Ganesh Chathurthi that he and his friends, including Sampath had arranged. Bhagavan is on the left of the diety and Sampath is standing right next to him on the left. The Ganesha alankharam was done by them as well but that story is for a later time.

The first public function I organized is for Ganesh Chathurthi. I think at the age of eight or nine, I gathered all my classmates, chamchas, and disciples, went around and collected donations, called the VIP guests, made all the arrangements, in the Arunachaleshwara Temple.

Understand, any experience you have, if you want to find out whether it is true experience or not, if you are having the inspiration, power to enrich others, it is a true experience. Or it is your fantasy, false imagination. Real experience will empower you. How to find out whether my Kundalini is awakened or not? You will take the responsibility and enrich yourself and the world, equivalent to a Peetadheeshwar. Few hundreds will be enriched by you. If that happens, then your Kundalini is awakened. Otherwise it is not!

I have seen one of my friend, he was so interested in politics, even at the age of eight, wherever the political meeting happens, he will go and stand, and listen, once the speaker goes, the crowd goes, he will get into the stage, because it’ll take 2 days to dismantle the stage. He will stand on the stage and give the same speech. He will speak. He will scream and he will exactly act, “Soda! Soda!’”

Usually the politicians when they speak they ask for soda. And we had agreement, we both had agreement. He will help me in the pooja I will assist him giving the soda!

I used to be his assistant when he gives his political discourses. When I do my pooja, he will be my assistant, getting my flowers and making the sandal paste and all that. So, whatever is in you, is awakened by the external informations.

Is Word the ultimate?

ramsuratYogi Ramsurat Kumar, the great saint of Tiruvannamalai who was one of my childhood mentors, had a habit of continuously chanting Ram naam, the sacred name of Lord Rama. He was initiated into the mantra Ram naam. Continuously he would chant Ram naam, and whoever comes, he would tell them, “Ram naam is the ultimate. Chant the naam, chant the naam, nothing else exists except the name.”
One day, after they all left, I was sitting alone with him. I looked into his eyes and asked, “Swamiji, tell me honestly, is word the ultimate?’ He turned away from my eyes. Actually, I still remember how he just slapped my face lightly, turned my face away, and started smoking again! Of course I did not leave him alone!

He used to always have with him a rope made out of coconut fiber in his hands. I pulled that rope to turn his face towards me and looked deep into his eyes and asked, “I really want to know. Is word the ultimate, is sound the ultimate?”

He just looked into my eyes shook the head horizontally and said, “No. There is something beyond word.”

I just could not control myself, because this happened just a few months after my enlightenment experience, and in my enlightenment experience, there was no word. I could not control myself.

I just jumped and shouted with joy and ecstasy that I had found the truth, “I know the truth. I know, I know, I know!”

It is beyond words. I tell you, when this truth, “There is a gap between your thoughts” is heard in such a close space from a person whom you trust and who has no vested interest, something happens in you.

There is an Upanishad sutra also which says, beyond the vak and mind, this truth is experienced. Vak and mind cannot reach that space. Words and vak have only a limited capacity. They can reach only to a limited level. It cannot be the ultimate, and if you believe that it is the ultimate, you are waiting for a big and great disappointment. If you think mind is everything, you are waiting for a deep depression and disappointment and unfulfillment.

The Friend of Snakes

url-1I have seen, he used to make siddha medicines also for which he needs snake venom, snake poison. So he would just do some kind of a pranayama- breathing technique- create a sound and release a particular smell through the nose. The snakes would automatically come near him as if they are in the sexual orgasm.

When the snakes have intercourse, two snakes – they will roll on the ground and they will move just by rolling. Only if you have seen, if you are from Indian village and seen you would understand what I am talking. They would not move like a normal way, they will be rolling on the ground and moving.

Just by the smell he releases, they will get into that mood and come towards him as if they are in that ecstasy and all he would do is, he will have a small cup, the stone cup and he would take that snake and put the mouth and take the venom and release them.

Or, through the corner of the mouth he would create a vibration and snakes will come, as if they have been tied by a rope and being pulled. Just like that, they would come. Usually snakes will go like an ‘S’, this way and this way they will move. But when he creates vibrations, I have seen that snakes will come straight, as if a rope or thread has been tied and it is pulled, straight.

Once he caught a cobra and made it bite me. Just to prove the science of removing poison from the body. Then he had a herb which he put at that spot and sucked the poison. He was showing me the peak of consciousness and unconsciousness – how to go to peak of consciousness even when poison is spread into your body. For even a second, I did not have fear.

He made the cobra bite, I was slowly falling into the consciousness, he was instructing me, “Balance your samana.”015

I could feel at that moment that a spot in the Sahasrara -crown chakra- got opened and got connected to the Visuddhi -throat chakra- and an intense flow of sweetness

Once Raghupati yogi was explaining this rajju sarpanyaaya to me. He wanted to get a rope and show it to me as an example. He searched for a rope, he did not find it. He made some sound and then a snake appeared from nowhere! He explained the whole thing with the snake. He was a master in sounds – sabda tatva, vaak tatva.

He was explaining the whole thing with the snake and that snake was coolly lying down. Usually, on a rope you will project a snake and understand. But I learnt by using an actual snake and project the rope and understand.

But he would never hurt anyone. That’s why animals were so loving around him.

He would never let me touch his feet. He always told me that, “History will curse me if you touch me. I am here to prepare you to show the world that you are an incarnation.”
