Introduction

Kattu Shiva is a powerful enlightened being who was known in Tiruvannamalai for expressing the power of appearing and disappearing in different places and who lived in the forests of the Arunachala Hill. His Divine Holiness describes Kattu Shiva wearing only a loin-cloth and carrying a big stick. He had already achieved the state of Divya Sarira with His body and therefore normal human beings would not be able to see him as he appeared only to whom he willed to see him. One of those rare beings whom he interacted with in the physical plane is Kuppammal and Isakki Swamigal.

In fact, the association between Kattu Shiva and the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism was through Isakki Swamigal and Vibhutananda Puri, who both sought his guidance for different superconscious mutation processes which the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism needed to undergo for the perfect manifestation of Paramashiva through His body.

Little is known about Kattu Shiva and his life because of his mystical existence. In the depths of the forests of the Arunachala Hill Kattu Shiva’s ashram has been discovered and photographed by spiritual wanderers of the Arunachala Hill.
