The Leela of Devotion

Power of Devotion – Scriptural reference

Śāstra Pramāṇa (Scriptural Reference) for the power of devotion and its powerful manifestation from Mahāsadāśiva own words:

bhaktyudrekādvirak-tasya yādṛiśī  jāyate matiḥ |
sā śaktiḥ  śāṅkarī  nityaṁ  bhāvayettām tataḥ  śivaḥ || 121 ||

–Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra, sūtra 121, dhāraṇa 96

TRANSLATION: By the intensity of devotion or pure love for the Divine, when the detachment arises in your mind beyond the intellect, that is the Śakti of Shānkari, the power of Divine Consciousness. The intellect (mati) is transformed into the divine consciousness. Then, by the constant space of devotion, you will become one with Śiva.

My grandfather was my first guru

When I was just three, My grandfather would carry Me on his shoulders to the Arunācaleśvara Temple. He would take Me around the temple and tell Me all the great epic stories – Purāṇas

My life started with pūjā

Actually, had I not taken up public life, I would have been a pūjāri – temple priest!

MY GANESHA DEITY EATS THE FOOD I SERVE – SAMPRAJÑĀTA SAMĀDHI

I got this Ganesha as a gift for My birthday. I had such a strong feeling-connection with him that I felt that Ganesha was actually there…that the deity was not just a stone; it was Ganesha Himself!

The revival of Sanātana Hindu Dharma started with Ganesha!

This whole revival of deity worship, of Sanātana Hindu Dharma, which I am doing now, started with just one small Ganesha gifted to Me when I was three years old! If that same Ganesha or even a bigger Ganesha was gifted to Me when I was eighteen, I don’t think this revival would have happened. Just that one Ganesha at the age of three got into My very bio-memory, became an experience. That is why I am able to transmit that experience to tons and tons of people, and this whole Sanātana Hindu Dharma is revived!
