The Leela of Aruṇagiri Yogīśvara
(On another occasion) I still remember, when he said, “I am everything”, I asked him, “What do you mean?” He was sitting, facing north, on the steps of the Kalyana Mandapam in the Tiruvannamalai Temple. In front of him, his Samādhi; in the side, the main deity; right-hand side, the main deity Garbha Griha (sanctum sanctorum); left-hand side, the hill Arunācaleśvara, the Arunācala hill. He said, “If I move my hand, the hill will move, because I am that,” and literally the Garbha Griha and the hill, the whole thing merged into him! I was sitting on his right. He said, “I am you. You see now.” When he moved the right hand, I saw that I was moving! When he moved the left hand, I saw the hill moving! And, when he crossed both the hands, I saw Me getting into the hill and coming out! When he moved the hand, I saw they were back to their places. It is very easy to say it was delusion. But it was not! I know! Because, it was such a powerful experience!
